french stripes never go out of fashion-

Something never goes out of style. While trends keep on coming and going constantly, we know that having some timeless pieces would never disappoint us and have always been a great investment. French stripe is one of them. It is always classy and effortlessly chic. With my absolute love of French stripes,  I decide to dedicate this post to talk about french stripes :D

day four/five - I got my first follower :D

Oh my god!!! I just noticed that I got my first follower of my blog :D Thank you, Michelle! This means a lot to me. It's always encouraging to know that somebody out there listening to what I'm rambling about. Now, I feel more responsibility to keep this blog on going :D

Today, it is absolutely boiling hot in NYC. I just walked my dog and we both got all sweaty as hell :( I was supposed to have a photo shot later this afternoon but we had to push back to next Monday due to the weather condition :'(
I'm developing my daily routine and feeling more and more comfortable working home with my beloved dog, Atchie This is a picture of her! Isn't she adorable??????

her name is Atchie and 15 months old now :)

So, here is my daily life like;
I get up, walk the dog, get some croissant, make some coffee, check my website/facebook/twitter/lookbook/and blogspot.. (I know it's a lot!) and then, I spend a lot of time sourcing new clothes for my website. I know it sounds too obvious but I cannot really sell anything unless I really like it. That is why my store is all about ruffles, flowers patterns, pink, and dresses. But, I think this is very important. How can I sell something I don't feel any passion into it? I can't even pose well in front of the camera when I'm wearing something I'm not crazy about. That is why I spend hours and hours to find something 'right.'
This is one of the outfit that I'm killing for! Those who have visited my store or facebook page before, probably have figured out my style. Yes, yes, I like pink and laces... so, what's wrong with that?? ;)

I love rompers/dresses so much because they are easy to style and comfortable!
(romper: misspouty, bag: yves saint laurent, shoes: harajuku lovers)

I absolutely adore its powder pink color.
We got really lucky with the light!

the lace detail and bow belt:D

So, here is my outfit post today, stay cool:D

Oh, before I forget to promote my facebook page to more people I just started this mini contest. It's new and not many people will be competing so you should give it a shot! Thanks ;p

day three - have you been on the High Line yet?

Before I go to bed, I decided to write another post (it's already 1:30 a.m. in NY, crazy me!!) I live in West Chelsea in NYC and there is this awesome park in my neighborhood that I like to share with. It's called the High Line which is a public park on the old railway in the West side.

Brief history of the Highline-
The High Line was built in the 1930s, as part of a massive public-private infrastructure project called the West Side Improvement. It lifted freight traffic 30 feet in the air, removing dangerous trains from the streets of Manhattan's largest industrial district. No trains have run on the High Line since 1980. Friends of the High Line, a community-based non-profit group, formed in 1999 when the historic structure was under threat of demolition. Friends of the High Line works in partnership with the City of New York to preserve and maintain the structure as an elevated public park.

Even though I live in a place overlooking the park, I have not been on there as often as I wish. One reason is they don't allow dogs, and the other is the awful stairways to get to the park. Despite these, it is worth everything to visit when you get a chance. The Sunset on the High Line is truly breathtaking and you get to see all the cool architectural high rises in West Chelsea. Most of all, the park itself is incredibly beautiful!

Here are some of the shots we took on the HighLine-

I'm wearing Andy Warhol inspired printed dress which will be in my store soon;) Isn't this pretty? I think the color of the print goes really well with the flowers and plants.

The sundeck on the HighLine is a great spot to watch around the people ;D

So, what do you think? Have you all been on the High Line yet? :)

day two/three

(shoes: Frye, top: American Apparel, skirt: misspouty.com)

I was going to write a new post last night but I got so tired and had to go to bed early (a couple of glasses of wine contributed as well.) Ever since I started working on my business, I have not been getting enough sleep :( Isn't this amazing? I've never stayed up late when I went to school!!!! Considering it's an one-man company, I do everything here and have to take care of million different things at the same time.. BUT, it has been such a thrilling experience and I try to enjoy every moment of it. Yesterday was very productive I think. I posted two new outfits (including one bikini!!) on my website and met with my awesome photographer to do more photo shoots for upcoming new outfits! I should be able to get the pictures tonight and can't wait to see them! After work, my photographer and I went to this wine bar called Clo (check it out, they serve wine in vending machine!) in Time Warner Building and Scott joined us later. It always feels great to treat yourself with a glass of vino after all the hard work ;) and then, we went to have a romantic dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi at Columbus Circle. This is the place where Scott and I had our second date! that was what, almost 3 years ago! I had no idea back then whether I'd be still in NYC or not. Now, I am living in NY working on my own business and marrying the same guy soon! Bloody hell! Isn't it so striking that how things seem to change so fast and sudden. Do we all believe in the butterfly effect?

day one - prologue

(illust by yoko furusho)

It took me over an hour to figure out how to set up my blog here. I'm not a good writer so I have been hesitating whether to start blogging or not(on top of doing facebook, twittering and running my business), but I feel like I need some place to document my thoughts, life, and work. Blog seems perfect since I could share it with anybody out there who is interested in my stories. So, here I am. My blog will be mainly about my passion and love for fashion. I never studied fashion or anything. So, I won't pretend that I know about fashion or style. It will be just about what I like, what I wear, and where my inspirations come from. Shall we begin???? bloglovin
