[ LIFESTYLE ] How Do You Fight Cabin Fever?

Hands down Summer is by far my favorite season of the year, Winter days do offer some beauties like being cozy by the fireplace or spending more quality time with your families and neighbors.  The weather in Brooklyn can be pretty bizarre (especially when you are facing the river) but our weekends in the countryside make up for the city's frigid lifesyle and help us beat winter boredom.

[ TRAVEL ] Anguilla Photo Diary - Part II

More photos from Anguilla are here.  It feels pretty ironic to write a Summer post when the city is covered in snow slush and the temperature is below freezing point.  Since we didn't head out to Springs this weekend (unfortunately Scott's down with flu and Mochie just got spayed), I got some free time on my hand to organize messy closets in my office and to go grocery shopping to make some fresh cold remedy juice for poor Scott.  And then, I still had some time left to daydream about our last trip to Anguilla with the beautiful pool overlooking  Mead's Bay at the Viceroy and the pristine sandy beach at Smokey's.

[ TRAVEL ] Anguilla Photo Diary - Part I

Oh, how I wish I were living in a perpetual Summer land.  Scott and I deviated from our annual trip to Barbados this time and spent the last Christmas in Anguilla and St. Martin for some changes.  Hands down it was one of the best trips I've ever had in my life.  With the sugar-powder-like sandy beaches, perfectly dry hot air and the dazzling emerald water, it was just heavenly.  As for a girl like me who grew up in Korea for the most part where the closest Caribbean experience you can get is to go to a Pirates of the Caribbean themed water park (of course, going to Cebu or Bali is another thing),  this was the most exotic possible way to close the last chapter of 2012 and I loved every bit of it!!

It feels like yesterday when I made the first post of 2012 (here) and it's terrifying to comprehend how fast time goes by.  I am extraordinarily thankful for everything that I experienced in 2012 (whether it's good or bad) and hope 2013 will be even more exciting and adventurous for all of us.  I'm excited and terribly worried at the same time for what this year will offer me (fingers crossed!!).  Sometimes I feel so powerless and lack of confidence but I'm going to brace myself and stay brave and positive!

"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."

I wish you and your family happy and healthy 2013!

P.S. Since it's unbearably cold in NYC, I thought I'd remind myself we are only three+ months away from Spring.  Pastel color cardigan and watercolor skirt, what do you think?
